In response to important issues, the Suburban REALTORS® Alliance formulates policy statements as the foundation for its advocacy activities. In developing these policies, the Alliance seeks the input and experience of REALTOR® volunteers, staff and legal counsel, conducts extensive research, and considers general business and "best practices" within the industry.

The Alliance traditionally involves itself in public policy issues that impact the real estate settlement process, the rights of real property owners, and the cost of housing.

In an effort to educate the general public, government officials, and the real estate industry, we have included various organizational policy statements on this site.

Municipal Database: As an added service to our shareholders, local governments and consumers of real estate, the Suburban REALTORS Alliance has created a municipal database that provides a comprehensive snapshot of the real estate-related regulations and ordinances that have been enacted by the 238 municipalities in the Alliance's four county territory. The database is frequently updated by staff, in cooperation with municipal authorities.
